The Biblical saga of Joseph and his coat of many colors comes to vibrant life in this delightful musical parable. Joseph, his father's favorite son, is a boy blessed with prophetic dreams. When he is sold into slavery by his jealous brothers and taken to Egypt, Joseph endures a series of adventures in which his spirit and humanity are continually challenged. He is purchased by Potiphar where thwarting advances from Potiphar's wife lands him in jail. When news of Joseph's gift to interpret dreams reaches the Pharaoh (wryly and riotously depicted as Elvis), Joseph is well on his way to becoming second in command. Eventually his brothers, having suffered greatly, unknowingly find themselves groveling at the feet of the brother they betrayed but no longer recognize. After testing their integrity, Joseph reveals himself leading to a heartfelt reconciliation of the sons of Israel. Set to an engaging cornucopia of musical styles, from country-western and calypso to bubble-gum pop and rock 'n' roll, this Old Testament tale emerges both timely and timeless.

You're a Good Man Charlie Brown presents "an average day in the life of Charlie Brown," and it really is just that; a day made up of little moments picked from all the days of Charlie Brown, from Valentine's Day to the baseball season, from wild optimism to utter despair, all mixed in with the lives of his friends (both human and non-human) and strung together on the string of a single day, from bright uncertain morning to hopeful starlit evening.

Seventh Annual
December 12 & 13, 2014 - 7:30pm
December 14, 2014 - 3:00pm
Individual Tickets: $12-$15

Center Stage Theatre continues a Downtown Goldsboro tradition with the seventh annual production of the Charles Dickens classic; A Christmas Carol. Dickens invented the modern concept of "Christmas Spirit" and offers one of the world's most adapted stories. We know the names Scrooge, Cratchit, Tiny Tim, and the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future not only as fictional characters, but as icons of the true meaning of Christmas.

Spring Production
Adapted by Christopher Sergel from the book by Frank Gilbreth and Ernestine Gilbreth Carey.
March 6 & 7, 2015 - 7:30pm
March 8, 2015 - 3:00pm
Individual Tickets: $10-$12

Based on a true story, Cheaper by the Dozen tells the story of the Gilbreth family. Imagine your father is one of the great pioneers of industrial efficiency. Then suppose he decides, for no apparent reason, to apply his unorthodox methods to you and to the rest of your big family. The results are terribly embarrassing, funny and, it must be admitted, extremely effective! To the oldest daughter, Anne, however, the chief effect seems to be that of making them seem ridiculous to everyone else at school.

2014-2015 Season Finale
May 8 & 9, 2015 - 7:30pm
May 10, 2015 - 3:00pm
Individual Tickets: $12-$15

If you thought you knew the story of 'The Princess and the Pea,' you may be in for a walloping surprise! Did you know, for instance, that Princess Winnifred actually swam the moat to reach Prince Dauntless the Drab? Or that Lady Larken's love for Sir Harry provided a rather compelling reason that she reach the bridal altar post haste? Or that, in fact, it wasn't the pea at all that caused the princess a sleepless night? Carried on a wave of wonderful songs, by turns hilarious and raucous, romantic and melodic, this rollicking spin on the familiar classic of royal courtship and comeuppance provides for some side-splitting shenanigans. Chances are you'll never look at fairy tales quite the same way again.

Season tickets are $35-$40 and are available now at the Paramount Theatre Box Office, over the phone at (919) 583-8432 or click here to download our season brochure.
